Greetings and salutations to all. I hope everyone had fun during the Halloween month. I'm here to announce the next upcoming ECAU meeting in New York City. Special thanks to P-Hustle for taking the initiative to get this party started.

ECAU Arctic-Winter Fest 2009

Who: East Coast Artists Unite! But if you're not an artist, that's ok. Anyone who can appreciate the arts is welcome to hang out.
What: It's a casual meeting of creative individuals who hang out, draw, eat, drink, laugh, talk smack on video games, etc
When: Saturday December 25th around 3PM
Where: The meet starts at the Seafood Grill Restaurant at Rockefeller Center (45 Rockefeller Plaza, NYC) but we usually hang all around mid-town Manhattan after that.
Why?: because it's good times!

If anyone has any questions, ask away.

ANYWAY! This is the End of Summer update for ECAU. I hope everyone had a great time!

Fall is rapidly approaching. There are several conventions on the East Coast that are worth mentioning. Anime Weekend Atlanta just past. Cheers to all that attended that show. The Small Press Expo in Bethesda, MD is coming up. As well as the Baltimore Comic Con. Anyone interested, should check out these comic conventions. More conventions are listed at [link]

On a separate topic...I'm thinking of a Halloween theme jam session.

The topic is HORROR.
Deadline will be October 31st.

I'll post something up as soon as it's finished, anyone and everyone is encouraged to post up any kind of artwork. In the meantime, enjoy the rest of the month folks!

Hello!
It's been a while, hasn't it?
After much research, the lost secret code has been found and the ECAU machine has been reactivated! For those that are still with us, say hello to check back in.
If you're new, stop in and say hello anyway! It's a celebration!

Live meetings won't begin for a while, until we've regained some structure.
However, we can still get our collective juices flowing. With that said, I am proposing a new ECAU dojinshi. Our previous efforts with the Final Fantasy, Matrix, and Fighting game dojins have proven to be moderately successful, and a lot of fun to create. Let's see if we can create another excellent collaboration?

Two themes I've come up with:
- Nintendo
- Marvel vs Capcom

I'm open for suggestions. Let's get this party started!

Just sending a reminder to those of you that expressed interest in contributing to ECAU's current project "Custom Combo" that tomorrow is the deadline for all submissions. If you want your work to be used for our publication, please send a note with a link or url to your work.
Ready or not, the book is set to go and should be available for public consumption come Otakon this august. Hope to see some of y'all there. ^^

Doujin Project - "Custom Combo"

For those that may have missed it, there's currently an open call for talent put forth by the wacky guys here at ECAU looking for artists that are interested in producing artwork for our book currently in production, Custom Combo.
Just click on the "Projects" link above for more details. This is a great opportunity to join fellow ECAU artists such as *ZeroA, ~GabeLamberty and *rsj in producing an action packed doujin made of win, god and legend!
